Camel City Mahjong Lessons @ Footnote Coffee & Cocktails

This three lesson series is designed for beginners.   You can sign up for one, two or three lessons, but it’s recommended that you take more than one lesson to really grasp the game.

Lessons are 2 hours and will include a drink from the Footnotes café while you play. 

The first lesson will dive into the basics of the game.  We will learn the tiles, the National Mah-Jongg League card and the step-by-step rules of the game. 

The second lesson will reinforce what you learned in Lesson 1 and help solidify your knowledge of the game. There will be time for players to practice dealing and participate in supervised play.  Lesson 1 and 2 are both needed to fully learn the game of Mahjong and the rules.  

The third lesson will help you master the game by reiterating rules and strategies and helping you learn to play on your own.

CCM Lesson 1 “The Newbie Lesson”  (includes drink) --$40

For players new to the game.  We will learn the tiles, the National Mah-Jongg League Card and the basics of the game. 

CCM Lesson 2  “The Player Lesson”(includes drink)--$40

February 13 

For the player who attended the beginner lesson, a private lesson or has some understanding of the basic rules of the game.  We will reinforce what you learned in Lesson 1 and help solidify your knowledge of the game. There will be time for players to practice dealing and participate in supervised play.  

CCM Lesson 3 “The Dealer Lesson” (includes drink)--$40

This class is recommended for Mahjong players that know the tiles, basic rules & pace of play. If you’ve already taken two lessons from us or somewhere else, this is a great follow up.
